Free-time is basically a foreign word to me, something that only exists in my non-existent dreams--life of an insomniac--and one of the most sought after treasures in my life. But who has time to relax when there's so much life to explore?
Clearly, not me.
The lack of blog updating proves this theory.
Let me get you up to speed on "Life Off Track: The Year Maren Took Off To Figure Out What She Was Going To Do The Next Year (Or Years) Of Her Life." Phew. That was a mouthful.
Long story short: I have performed in two shows this year,
Junie B Jones in Jingle Bells Batman Smells at YPC
AND
Urinetown at Ashland.
I am still working at Brix, and have also started working at Gap.
I have started writing music again. (See my facebook for two of my newest songs).

I have rediscovered my love for photography.

I have been accepted, and accepted my admittance to Columbia College in Chicago where I will attend next fall, and study...well...something. I have officially decided I will not be studying Musical Theatre, but will hopefully be getting my creative fix in some other awesome major.
And with that, I think our game of catch up is complete.
So, even though after Urinetown ended I have been telling people I'm "on a break," I guess I'm just as busy as I always am. Working two jobs, doing Cattle Call and pursuing my creative outlets tends to be a bit overwhelming.
The title says it all. No matter how much I try to stay still, I am permanently running around.
